Home in Maryland

How can I possibly be cold in Maryland? Why am I wearing this pink outfit when I ought to be getting a tan? But it IS cold here, and I'm wearing my coat because Momma had me stripped the other week. Now I'm down to my bottom coat, which is nice a soft, but not so warm.
It seems life is getting on pretty well here, but Dexter is still not so smart, and Foofie is really old. Momma says he may have to go away and sleep forever...sound like something I might think about, but not for a very long time. I think Momma and Susan need me too much; at least that what they say. And I plan on staying around if for no other reason than to patrol the yard and make sure Dexter knows how to behave.

It's stuck in my mouth!

I love peanut butter, but this is ridiculous...Momma says I have to eat it in my crate. So now the red thingy from which I lick out that delicious concoction is in my mouth, and I WON'T let go!
Maybe this will help to stretch my mouth so it isn't so little...
Don't you think I look cute?
Right now I'm sleeping in my bed at St. John's, and Momma just told me I was snoring. No I wasn't!
Guess I'm coming down to see you next month. I miss my yard, cause it's hard to run into the woods with Momma on the other end.
Bye, got to go. Smack Dexter for me and say 'hi' to Foofs. Molly

I'm getting slimmer!

Here I am sitting on my momma's 'exercise mat' which is really the mattress cover to the sofa. Don't I look cute? I'm trying to get into shape for August when I get to come home and patrol my yard in my summer outfit, maybe even a tankini...
I miss my yard, but Momma and I take good walks every day and I love the big, big yards up here. Lots of grass, and smells, and other doggies' pee, and, and...it's so much fun to find lots of smells!
I hope you come back soon, but you will never know that I want you to come see me. It's not that I don't love you, but I love my momma more.
So next time you see me, I will have exercised more and I will look trim and pretty and just like I want to look! And the people on the trail today said I was pretty. How very true, and aren't they smart. Love to Dexter and Foofie, I think, Molly

in the pedicure room

Hi Momma Susan. I'm watching my momma get a pedicure, and even though I DON'T like my picture taken, Momma sneaked this one in. All the girls thought I was very cute and let me wander around. I even tried to run up the stairs, but Montana caught me and brought me back in. (She's the lady who did my momma's toenails) Momma tried to hold me on her lap, but there were too many wonderful and different smells on the floor.
Momma said we are coming down to see you and Dexter and Foofie tomorrow. I will wear my pink so you will think I'm pretty...
Got to go now. Momma should be home soon to feed and walk me. I love being so demanding!

snoozing

Hi Momma Susan. I know the Dex just wrote you, but I wanted you to see another cute photo of my very self. I'm sleeping in my office bed...guess it's really Momma's office, but this corner is all mine.
I'm very tired as I had a great romp with two little terriers this morning. They were cute, but not as cute as me. Momma told their momma's one of their cousins in Chicago is the reason she has me. I guess I'm glad of that, but thought it was only my most beauteous personality that she chose me. But she is, after all, only human...
I know Momma was getting pretty frustrated with the computer, and I can't help cause I don't have thumbs. But I think she's calmed down now.
Please come to see me soon....I love you, but not as much as I love my own momma. Guess you know that by now. Molly

I can see better now

I know you think I'm the cutest boy on the planet, but this is proof of how much I love you, Momma. Molly said I could use her blog because she was there when Momma Linda took the photo; it's good to have an older sister's permission...
I like laying on your lap because you are my momma and you are soft and you love me and I like to wear your glasses and I don't mind looking scholarly even when I'm not and...and...and...
Your loving boy,
Dexter

I can't wait any longer!

Momma Susan, it's so hard to wait when Foxxy is being sewn. I tore her neck apart Wednesday, and she has been sitting on the sewing basket since then. Momma thought I looked cute with stuffing all over my nose, but now it's back inside Foxxy. Here's a photo of me waiting to get her back; I'm sitting at Momma's feet and have jumped up a few times, but she pushes me down. I want my fox!
Momma said you are coming here tonight. Is that true? Are you bringing Dexter, or do I get you all to myself? Oh, Momma gets you too... Are you going to stay with us? I like it here, but I really want to wander in the woods by myself. Momma says I can't. We saw deer yesterday, and I barked at them. Today we thought we saw a chipmunk, but Momma wouldn't let me off my lead to go make some new friends. She said they would bite my nose.
